v2.3.2 - October 1, 2026

Patch on v2.3.1. Display size scales the whole desk, columns and quantities are yours to arrange, and Terminal shows calls, puts, and armed TP/SL without a color fill.

New Features

Display size

  • Settings → Appearance → Display size: Smaller / Larger, from 90% to 200%. Text, tables, columns, and buttons grow together, like TWS font size. Replaces Text size Default / Large from v2.3.0.
  • Restart now applies it. If TP/SL is watching an open position, you get a warning first: rules come back paused, so open ⚙️ TP/SL and click Set Rules to turn them back on. The new window comes to the front.

Columns and quantity

  • Drag a column edge to resize it, or drag a header to move it. Right-click a header to hide a column, show columns again, or reset widths and order. Buy to Open, Sell to Close, and Orders each remember their layout. Every header stays fully visible.
  • The ITM / ATM / OTM checkboxes above Buy to Open are gone. Those groups are in the header menu.
  • Each symbol's Quantity has preset buttons, including your default. Set all quantities next to Add sets every symbol in one click.

Terminal outlines

  • An armed take profit or stop loss has a thin green or red outline in Sell to Close. Once it fires or is paused, the outline goes away.
  • Symbols use the same outline for calls (green) and puts (red) in Buy to Open, Sell to Close, and Orders.

TP/SL state in plain words

  • Take Profit and Stop Loss cells say Triggered, Off, or Paused instead of a leading T or X, in every theme. Hover a cell to see why, and how to arm it again (⚙️ TP/SL → Set Rules).

First-run help

  • Empty tables explain what goes in them, and a one-time hint points out the right-click column menu. Turn hints off or replay them in Settings → Help & Resources.

Improvements

  • Connect reads Verifying… and stays disabled until the license check finishes, so an early click is not rejected.
  • Tooltips inside table cells, including the ⚙️ TP/SL gear, use the same style as the rest of the app.
  • On Mac, the column menu's checks and arrows draw smoothly.

Documentation

v2.3.1 - September 26, 2026

Patch on v2.3.0. Adds a quieter Terminal theme and greys Order Type / TP/SL on closed rows.

New Features

Terminal theme

  • Settings → Appearance → Theme: NCX (default), Contrast, Easy on the Eyes, or Terminal. Theme applies as you change it.
  • Terminal is a quieter desk: bid, ask, strike, and P&L sit on one dark field instead of a color heatmap. Spreads stay dimmer than the numbers.
  • Buttons use a dark fill and a light ring (the same mark as ATM Strike). Close and Disconnect use that mark with a muted red ring so they stay findable.
  • License Valid uses paper text, not the NCX cyan. Invalid still uses the muted red.

Documentation

v2.3.0 - September 16, 2026

Minor on v2.2.0. Futures options from 2.2.0 are unchanged. This release splits the old Configuration tab, moves Connect to the top bar, and lets you configure TP/SL quantity chips and offsets.

New Features

Tabs: Trading, Risk & Sizing, Settings

  • The Configuration tab is gone. Trading is chains and orders. Risk & Sizing is position size and TP/SL defaults (what the next order uses). Settings is license, IB host / port / client ID, appearance, and Help.
  • Connect / Disconnect is in the top bar, next to Account and Balance.

Text size

  • Settings → Appearance → Text size: Default or Large. Buttons, labels, inputs, the top bar, and dialogs scale. Ticker, portfolio, and orders table cells stay the same size.

TP/SL quantity chips and defaults

  • After Sell Qty, the saved TP/SL quantity stays (a scale-out of 2 stays 2). If it is larger than leftover, the field errors and All sets quantity to leftover.
  • Quantity chips: All plus percent chips from Risk & Sizing → TP/SL Defaults (four boxes; default 50 / 20 / 10).
  • TP and SL suggestion offsets (default 10% / 5%) and price nudge % (default 5) live on Risk & Sizing. Clear nudge and save to hide the ± buttons.
  • Details: Take Profit and Stop Loss

Improvements

How settings save

  • On Risk & Sizing, Save Settings writes those defaults. Unsaved edits show Unsaved changes. Click Save to apply. under the button; a successful save shows Settings saved.
  • Host, port, and client ID save when you click out of the field, then Connect in the top bar. Theme and text size apply as you change them.
  • Verify and Save License verifies what is in the email and key boxes. Clearing the key no longer puts the saved key back.
  • Clear Saved Data stays on Settings (watchlist data, not your license).

Help

  • Settings → Help opens Website, Docs, and Blog on neonchainx.com.

Bug fixes

  • StrikeAt no longer fills back in after you clear the cell; last price only seeds an empty row once.
  • Confirm Yes / No buttons are fully readable (Clear All, Clear Data, and other confirms).
  • Windows taskbar icon matches the app.
  • Connect and other top-bar / settings buttons no longer show a faint clipped line at the bottom.
  • License Show / Hide label stays readable on hover.

Documentation

  • Getting Started — tabs, license verify, Settings, Connect in the top bar, text size, Risk & Sizing save
  • TWS API ports — host/port on Settings, then Connect in the top bar
  • TP/SL guide — Risk & Sizing defaults, chips, leftover quantity
  • Futures options — Connect from the top bar

v2.2.0 - August 17, 2026

New Features

Futures Options (FOP) Support

  • Added support for trading options on liquid futures products directly from the app
  • Select Future in the Type dropdown, enter a root symbol (e.g. ES), and the app automatically resolves a live option chain (walking later months when the nearest future has no options, e.g. gold)
  • Supported products: E-mini S&P 500 (ES), E-mini Nasdaq-100 (NQ), Micro E-mini S&P 500 (MES), Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 (MNQ), Russell 2000 (RTY), Crude Oil WTI (CL), Gold (GC)
  • MGC (Micro Gold) is not recommended: TWS often has no bid/ask, so quotes and mid orders may not work. Use GC instead.
  • Futures option contracts (FOPs) use the correct exchange routing (CME, NYMEX, COMEX) automatically. No manual configuration required.
  • TP/SL risk management works with futures options: underlying price comes from the tracked front-month Future contract
  • Walkthrough: Trade futures options on IBKR

Requirements for Futures Options

  • Interactive Brokers TWS or IB Gateway with futures market data subscriptions (CME Equity Index, NYMEX Energy, etc.)
  • Paper trading: TWS port 7497 or IB Gateway port 4002
  • Live trading: TWS port 7496 or IB Gateway port 4001

v2.1.0 - February 8, 2025

New Features

Option Price Triggers for TP/SL

  • Added option price triggers alongside underlying price triggers for Take Profit and Stop Loss orders
  • Users can now set TP/SL based on option premium (last traded price) in addition to underlying stock price
  • Both trigger types can be enabled simultaneously for maximum flexibility
  • Option price triggers are evaluated after underlying price triggers
  • See the TP/SL Configuration Guide for details

Enhanced TP/SL Dialog

  • Real-time price validation with color-coded input borders (green for valid, red for invalid)
  • Live price difference and percentage indicators next to each price input
  • Warning messages when TP/SL levels may trigger instantly based on current market conditions
  • Underlying price updates in real-time while the dialog is open

Option Last Traded Price Column

  • New "Last" column in the portfolio table showing the option contract's last traded price
  • Provides instant reference for option premium value alongside underlying price

Enhanced Top Bar

  • Added real-time clock with timezone selector (Local, EST, PST, CST, UTC, GMT)
  • Trading preferences indicator showing position sizing method ("Position Size: $X,XXX" or "Contract Size: X")
  • Improved account information display with color-coded Demo/Live status
  • Balance display showing total cash balance in USD
  • Updates in real-time when settings are saved

Smarter Dollar-Based Position Sizing

  • Dollar-based position sizing now calculates quantity using the correct price for your selected order type
  • Market/Ask orders use ask price, Bid orders use bid price, Mid orders use midpoint price
  • Status message shows exactly which price and order type was used for the calculation

Faster Symbol Restoration

  • Previously added symbols now restore significantly faster when reconnecting
  • Clear error indicators if a symbol can't be found or loaded
